Brave

Project aims at providing basic services to the wide Palestinian refugee community to alleviate the daily challenges they are facing. It encompasses two main components, PSS and Youth Support.

Provide Psychosocial skills for children, youth and caregivers. Provide specialized mental health services for children, youth and caregivers. Promote Social Behavioral Changes. To provide youth with soft and technical skills and other kinds of support required to increase their chances of employability. BRAVE activities reaches out to more than 9 Palestinian camps and gatherings through the active collaboration of 6 partners.

Achievements:

Youth Support Programme: 2,705 youth were reached through technology-based training, digital literacy, employability skills, entrepreneurship skills workshops and Life Skills Workshops. 372 youth were targeted through TVET workshops including Solar Systems, Cooking, Mobile Maintenance, … Out of the 476 contacted youth who benefited from the workshops, 107 are currently employed. Employment rate so far: 22% 390 youth were targeted through youth-led initiatives. 42 Small businesses were supported, providing employment for 85 youth 46 youth graduates were provided with paid internship opportunities in 30 different companies/institutions. 7 of the youth could land employments.

PSS Programme: Faced with the economic crisis and its psychological and social impact on the population, as part of our project, it was necessary to intensify and develop psychosocial support services provided to beneficiaries. On the other hand, the demand expressed by young beneficiaries and care taking for mental health problems has reinforced our determination to broaden the spectrum of our interventions going to the last level of the IASC pyramid, which is specialized services. Psychotherapist for each center operating within the Brave project. Behavioral changes were promoted and common gender stereotypes and misconceptions were broken through structured programs.
